What is NLP?

You could think of NLP™ as an owner’s manual for the human brain. It’s really the study of how we think, feel and act, marked by an intense curiosity about how human beings get the results they do. The study of outstanding individuals and geniuses in their fields, and how they got their results, formed the basis of a methodology known as NLP™ today. This process is called modeling. NLP™ is based on the belief that all behaviour has a structure and that this structure can be modeled, learned and changed.

What are the benefits of NLP?

This systemic study of human communication formed the foundational building blocks of NLP™. NLP™ has built up a vast reservoir of knowledge about what works in almost every field of human endeavor. Today the practical tools and methods of NLP™ are used in business, sales, personal development, teaching, law, education, politics the list is endless.

You can apply the knowledge resulting from this curiosity to successfully help yourself. You could use it to help others, in fact NLP™ is recognized as one of the most effective technologies in the field of human achievement. Neuro-Linguistic Programming™ is defined as the study of the structure of subjective experience and what can be calculated from that and is predicated upon the belief that all behavior has structure. People such as Virginia Satir, Milton Erickson and Fritz Perls had amazing results with their clients. They were some of the people who's linguistic and behavioural patterns Dr. Richard Bandler, co-creator of NLP™ built formal models of.

Tell me more about NLP:

Neuro: The Mind-Body relationship, how we operate; physiological and mental states and activities.

Linguistic: The language we use to describe, categorize, communicate about and make sense of our individual maps of the world & how we communicate our experience to others. As well as utilising those maps to communicate better with ourselves and others.

Programming: The stories and programs we use to interpret our experience; discovering repeating sequences of behavior, patterns thought that help us or hinder us

NLP is a way of perceiving reality, and of making appropriate changes that move us in the direction we want. NLP is about learning to pay attention to what is happening in our reality, and also to what happens as a result, so that we can learn through experience.

NLP was specifically created in order to allow us to do magic by creating new ways of under standing how verbal and non-verbal communications affect the human brain.

NLP gives us a deeper understanding of the relationships between the mind and body.

You will have a better understanding of yourself and those around you. You will be able to notice how you are influenced and how you can easily influence others. Its application is through every area of your life with everyone you interact with.
